Doc is one of the greatest flatpick guitarists of all time, and in this video he teaches some of the masterful songs and instrumentals he has made famous. Doc and fellow flatpicker Steve Kaufman trade licks and play duets, and Doc slows down his arrangements of ballads, bluegrass songs, fiddle tunes and country classics.
As an added bonus, Doc and his grandson Richard Watson (Merle's son) perform three blues-based songs: "Walk On, Boy," "Chicago Blues" and the classic "Summertime."
